2 BOTTLE SUNDAY
An organically-grown acoustic folk group, Jamie, Matthew and Danica woo audiences with their creative lyrics and unexpected harmonies. They also love salvaging great songs from near-oblivion, and reverting well-known tunes to down-home acoustic styles.
ANA KANPA

Hypnotic jams, haunted songs of Spirit and Earth, and compelling spoken word poetry. From melodic rock to heavy blues. Their name means "Spirits of the Earth," from an ancient Sumerian prayer calling for the Earth Spirits to rise up and reclaim their land.

BLUE LIGHT SPECIAL

The muddy sound of the Mississippi Delta, the big-shouldered roar of Chicago, and the chicken-fried twang of Texas. DIANE WARD
"...the power of Melissa Etheridge's voice with the beauty of k.d. lang's..." (Skott Freedman, BiMagazine, 4/20/07).
"Ward pens tunes that are so damn hummable you'll find yourself whistling the choruses while standing in line at Publix. The politics of love is ... described in 'This Love Is Hard': 'We held it out in the wide open, and it blazed a path to ruin/Now, your best friend is a song on the radio, and I'm holding hands with my lover the moon.'" (CityLink "Best Songwriter 2006," 10/16/06).
GRANT LIVINGSTON

| KEITH HOPE |
This sixth-generation Floridian's album of original songs about Florida is entitled "Key Biscayne Cowboy."
MALCOLM HOLCOMBE
"Holcombe's voice — howlin', rattlin', mumblin', stranglin' — galvanizes stomping, darting bluegrass ("Baby Doll") and rocking blues with a chain-gang lash ("Yesterday's Clothes"). Genuinely sorrowful and joyful, without a shred of sentimentality, "Not Forgotten" embodies his go-for-broke philosophy: "If you're going to dig a hole, dig it deep. If you're going to smoke a cigarette, smoke it down to the filter." (Geoff Gehman, The Morning Call, 10/14/06).
"Lyrically, Holcombe continues to mystify and leave interpretation up to the listener. Rather than painting complete pictures, Holcombe howls and whispers his mountain poetry in short phrases that draw from personal experiences but are abstract enough to be applied to others." (David Brewer, High Country Press, 11/9/06).

MATTHEW SABATELLA & THE RAMBLING STRING BAND
With vocals, guitar, banjo, fiddle, mandolin, bass fiddle, mountain dulcimer, and a wealth of traditional folk songs, Matthew Sabatella and the Rambling String Band bring the story of the United States vividly to life.
The journey begins in Colonial America and follows the paths of the pioneers, sailors, lumberjacks, immigrants, ‘49ers, farmers, slaves, soldiers, cowboys, and railroaders who moved the country across the continent and into the 20th century.

Sabatella was named "Best Acoustic Performer 2005” by Broward/Palm Beach New Times.
"It’s the kind of thing that will appeal to just about anybody," Sabatella says of the songs on Ballad of America Volume 1 (the CD), most of which date back to the early 1800s. The crowd at the Bamboo Room reflected that sentiment, as moms, grandmoms, longhairs, blue collars, and a gaggle of wine-sipping, Virginia Slims-puffing ladies all clapped along and sang like ornery lumberjacks to lines like ‘And we'll range the wild woods over, and once more a-lumbering go!’" (Jonathan Zwickel, Broward/Palm Beach New Times).

NICHOLAS THE STORYTELLER
Have you seen a van with a sign on the back that asks, "HOW'S MY STORYTELLING?" It belongs to a 484-year-old wizard who will magically materialize from the Renaissance and tell tales of ancient castles, knights, and dragons to please and entertain.
Nicholas's 200+ stories are not read or recited. They are performed. He has appeared at festivals, schools, libraries, and on both national and local television. One of the stories he wrote was presented as a ballet.

| PANAMA RED |
Singer-songwriter, former guitarist with Kinky Friedman's Texas Jewboys.
RAIFORD STARKE
Blues, country, folk, surf music & good old rock and roll. Stunning repertoire. "His voice is part Johnny Cash, part Bill Haley, with some Eric Clapton and Gary Moore sneaking in on his bluesier numbers....During one bring-the-house-down song, Starke climbs up on the bar to play, lies down and opens the beer tap into his mouth — without missing a lick on his guitar — and finally jumps down behind the bar, his fingers still flying, bartender Tara dancing along with him wildly as she mixes drinks." (Tiffany Yates, Naples Daily News, 6/8/06.
SARAH
Cherished British import singer-songwriter.
Philosophy, poetry and politics given voice:
"Words. They can wake you up. Put you to sleep. Effect change. Make a difference. They sing. Whisper. Shout. And sometimes they are like the roar of silence."

| SPIDER JOHN KOERNER |
"American folk and country blues ... spare and funky, with lots of open spaces between oddly placed notes, all of it held together with his impeccable timing."(Blueswire).
"With my newly learned repertoire, I then went further up the street and dropped into the Ten O'Clock Scholar, a Beat coffeehouse. I was looking for players with kindred spirits. The first guy I met in Minneapolis like me was sitting around in there. It was John Koerner and he also had an accoustic guitar with him. Koerner was tall and thin with a look of perpetual amusement on his face. We hit it off right away.... When he spoke he was soft spoken, but when he sang he became a field holler shouter. Koerner was an exciting singer, and we began playing a lot together." (Bob Dylan, Chronicles, Volume One).
STEVEN FRANZ
He is currently in the studio working on his second CD, tentatively titled "Skins & Shirts." Several of the songs deal with gay marriage, as Franz and his partner were one of the first same-sex couples to marry in Massachusetts in 2004. Outmusic Awards Nominee 2004.
