SCATTERGRASS |
Understanding the foundation on which they stand, ScatterGrass tries to remain close to the songs and music that shaped and led to the sounds and instruments that you hear in today’s music in America and the rest of the world.
Inspired by growth and their understanding of it, Scattergrass is a deep rooted original group that can be found just about anywhere kickin anything from Jimi to Vassar.
And while their wood instruments resonate out to the music Gods, they are always looking for that place where their souls connect to the creative spirits.
Also, understanding a commercial market like South Florida, ScatterGrass knows the importance of and enjoys spreading classic Blues & Rock while covering songs that soulfully hand it to you on a bed of Grass.
But for the most part, their originals are the main food for the heart in this band. In the creative spirit, the mind is the soil in which the seed of song is planted. Nurtured and cultivated it grows to bring health and happiness to all who understand life and how we are all simply connected by that.
One at a time each of the seeds are sowed, in which grows a song to tell a story. Then, all the songs together tell a story of a life. Some of the stories are true, some not so true, but their all real.
Scattergrass is:
Paul Briggs – guitar and vocals
Fritz Kraemer – mandolin, guitar, dobro and vocals
Ben Manberg – bass and vocals
Donnie Hicks - fiddle
